Welcome to Zooterville

Follow along on Google Earth with Captain Jack Aubrey and
Dr. Stephen Maturin as they sail the globe in Patrick O'Brian's epic Aubrey-Maturin Series.

The links to the right are to Google Earth KMZ files, Google's map markup and exchange format. Key ports, battles and locations from a specific book are indicated - even the fictitious ones! You must have the free application, Google Earth installed for it to work. You can either click on the link and request it to Open with Google Earth (if Google Earth is already open) or just save the file to your computer and do the same.

Ted Walton photography 619.448.1083I've only compiled this collection for ease of access, credit for the creation of these maps - and their accuracy, goes to the mysterious people listed in the bottom right. Many of them credit Dean King's Harbors and High Seas, an excellent reference of the details of the Aubrey-Maturin series, as their source.

For another option, visit the Patrick O'Brian Mapping Project compiled by Tom Horn. Covering a few of the books, this collection shows the routes that Captain Aubrey sailed in addition to the major ports of call and battles.
